FAQS

How do I know which print style is right for me?

This Print Style is an unstretched canvas with the image printed right to the edge of the canvas (there will not be a white border around the edge).

This option is great if you would like to put it in a frame without stretching it around stretcher bars. It can be framed with or without glass (personally, I like it without glass). We would recommend using double sided tape to keep the canvas print from sagging or pillowing out. For large sizes, we recommend mounting the print to a backer board such as foamcore or Masonite board.

Currently, this option is only available in the mini print size (8" x 10" or similar dimension).

This Print Style is an unstretched canvas with a white border around the edge. This allows space for the canvas to be stretched around stretcher bars which is the traditional way to mount a canvas print (it does not include the stretcher bars). We recommend taking it to a frame shop to have this done. You may also frame it after it is stretched around the stretcher bars.

This Print Style comes with your print stretched around stretcher bars and framed in a beautiful olivewood frame. I have chosen to carry this frame as one of my standard frames because it often ends up being the frame I choose for my art.

The olivewood frame is a simple, clean style in a medium wood tone. It is 3/4" wide x 1 1/8" deep.

What is a Giclee print?

A giclee is a fine art print created by using a specialized high resolution inkjet printer. Yes, a giclee is in fact an “art print” but giclee prints stand apart with their extremely high level of quality, longevity and value compared to a standard print. Giclee printers use high-quality, archival-grade inks and papers to produce images that will last for decades without fading or yellowing.

Each print is sprayed with a clear, UV protective coating to give you a high-quality, long-lasting print.

Prints in a limited edition will have a max quantity of prints made for that piece. Once that number of prints has been reached, a print edition will be sold out.

*Unless otherwise specified, notecards and small prints (8x12 or smaller) are not included in the limited edition prints and do not have a limit (open edition).

Do you offer frames?

Our current standard frame option is an olivewood frame. I have chosen to carry this frame as my standard frame because it often ends up being the frame I choose for my art. The olivewood frame is a simple, clean style in a medium wood tone. It is 3/4" wide x 1 1/8" deep.
